Manager, Account & Portfolio Development/SaaS/SMB

This role will oversee an Account Management sales team of 7+ employees, each managing a portfolio of 300-500 clients, focused on improving customer activation & client retention, with an emphasis in maximizing revenue growth of existing clients through new product sales, account/portfolio growth, and increased usage in a SaaS/technology setting.

This team works directly with existing clients using demand generation tools, such as webinars, live & recorded video sessions, coaching, outbound calling and emails to identify a client's greatest path to increased usage.

Performance Metrics will include:

  • The cross selling of new products, portfolio management and growth/retention of our existing clients relative to monthly/quarterly/annual objectives

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts one-on-one coaching and portfolio review sessions with each team member to identify opportunities to maximize portfolio penetration, this to include cross selling, driving end user usage & growth/retention with our existing clients
  • Provides strategic direction, develops "cross selling & client retention plans", and coordinates internal company resources to drive portfolio revenue growth
    • Develops, establishes and manages activity metrics, this to include tracking & analyzing sales & pipeline activities as compared to goals

Position Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of account management and portfolio development experience in the payment and/or technology industry
  • BA/BS preferred; ideal educational focus in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Fluent in the use of sales management technologies including CRM (Salesforce.com preferred), inbound marketing automation, dashboard and reporting tools, sales automation technologies.
  • Strategic ability to establish processes & measurements of success for a growing business
  • Excellent communication skills that allow for strong partnerships and information sharing through formal & informal channels to stakeholders, up to and including senior management
  • Strong leadership skills that include negotiation, conflict management, influencing, facilitation, collaboration, and teamwork/cooperation across all levels of the organization
