Strategy & Operations Program Manager

Vanco is looking for two experienced Strategy & Operations Program Manager to join our team supporting our Nonprofit market.

In this role, you are responsible for leading multiple multi-disciplinary, complex programs, projects and initiatives across Vanco that are critical to our business success. You serve as a business expert, leveraging your knowledge to drive business decisions that ensure the success of the projects/initiatives. You influence across the organization to advocate for your initiatives, manage risks and drive stakeholder adoption and engagement. You are directly responsible for project planning, project controls, managing project risks & issues, managing to budget/scope/schedule and project reporting. You will help establish a new business program and project management practice for Vanco.


We are looking for someone who has successfully led complex business & technology projects including new product builds and launches, growth initiatives, running end to end projects, ensuring delivery of project outcomes, and a strong communicator who can run effective project teams. You will collaborate across the entire organization and customer lifecycle to ensure from inception to product delivery, to go to market, and customer success that all elements of the initiative are successful.


What you’ll be doing as a Strategy & Operations Program Manager:

You are responsible for

  • Providing subject matter expertise for building a Program and Project Management practice for Vanco including the revision and development of tools.
  • Providing thought leadership on project management and stakeholder management within Vanco.
  • Providing project leadership across multiple initiatives including new product development, commercialization and go to market, M&A, process design & improvement and more.
  • Project initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing complex, highly visible and cross-functional projects
  • Creating, maintaining and leading execution of project plans
  • Monitor, control and analyze project cost, schedule, outcomes, and risks
  • Contribute to change leadership, stakeholder management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project/initiative
  • Leading project updates to Senior Leadership and Board of Directors as required
  • Reporting and communicating project status, risks, and changes to impacted stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of experience in program and project leadership work including success leading complex, cross-functional projects. Fintech, SaaS and/or M&A experience is a plus.
  • An experienced project manager with end-to-end responsibility for project delivery. A strong background in project management strategies, practices and planning with a depth of experience in business analysis and project collaboration.
  • Experience leading technology projects utilizing Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues & ideas accurately and clearly. Able to communicate at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead projects with project team members who report to others and involve multiple lines of business/functions.
  • Experience leading multiple projects concurrently and successfully using time and resource management skills.
  • Experience utilizing Project Management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, etc.
  • PMP Certification is a plus
